Visiting Bath Place
Even though we are not open in this lovely street any more there are still many lovely independent businesses to visit.
There is ample parking nearby in the Crescent car park and we are also handy for the Park and Ride stops in Corporation Street and Fore Street. Take a peek at the street map below.
Our former Neighbours
Bath Place is a friendly pedestrianised street bursting with loveliness. There are several eateries, a bookshop, clothes shops, hairdressers and a myriad of other small businesses - all independents, and we are proud to have been runners up in the 'Local Centre' category of the Great British High Street a couple of years ago.
Nearby
Taunton is probably best known for cricket, cider and now the amazing new Museum of Somerset which is just a short distance away from Bath Place. Beautiful Vivary Park plays host to one of the oldest Flower Shows in England (since 1831) in early August each year and this too is a short stroll from our lovely street.
Taunton is surrounded by beautiful hills including the Quantocks and the Blackdown Hills, and Exmoor is but a short drive away. Coastal resorts like Lyme Regis, Porlock, Sidmouth and Teignmouth are all within an hour’s drive, and the M5 (junctions 25 or 26) provides easy access north to Bristol, south to Exeter, and beyond.
